La flamme de l'armagnac

As from November and right up until January, the whole of Gascony lives to the rhythm of the distillation of Armagnac. Following tradition, the flame which lights the distillers is carried from estate to estate.
In Gascony, the festivities which accompany the flame are a guarantee of great conviviality, particularly the dinners organised in various properties around the travelling distiller heated by a wood fire.

Each year in november saw gathered round a table at the Chiroulet estate, its close neighbours, a few Gascony friends loyal to the flame and a small group of journalists from the specialist international press (RVF, RVI, All Om Vin, le Nouvel Obs, World Wine Report, Wine Ireland, Harpers, Vino Magazine), accompanied by Michèle PIRON SOULAT, Press Officer for B.N.I.A. (Le Bureau National Interprofessionel de l’Armagnac).
